Fiberdome Inc, parent company of Tuffy Boats of Lake Mills, Wisconsin, recently announced they have been awarded a contract to build FRP components for Osh Kosh Truck's new MRAP All Terrain Vehicle for the US Military. See the MRAP In Action!
The long term contract between Osh Kosh Truck and Fiberdome, Inc. is a result of the recent $2.11 billion dollars two part order Osh Kosh Truck received in late June and July to produce 3,944 MRAP vehicles for the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Life Cycle Management Command (TACOM LCMC).
The Osh Kosh Truck website describes the new MRAP:

Fiberdome is currently undergoing a major expansion project adding over 35,000 square feet of production, assembly, and warehousing space to their facility in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. The expansion will result in the creation of up to 90 new jobs, and will increase the Fiberdome production capacity and backlog to over $55 million dollars for the coming year.

Major expansion and renovation projects underway at our Lake Mills facility will improve our production flow and allow for continuing innovations for the Tuffy brand into the future. Our production and finishing staff is cross trained to produce all the Fiberdome products at the highest quality possible. Tuffy Boats is the most financially stable independent boat brand in the US as a result!"
Fiberdome has offered the Tuffy Boats product line since acquiring the brand in the late 1990's. Tuffy Boats produces High Performance fishing boats from 14'10" to 20'6" designed to meet the multi specie angler's needs whether fishing waters like Minnesota's giant Mille Lacs, Wisconsin's mid sized Pelican Lake, or an obscure 200 acre lake along the backloads of the Midwest. Tuffy Boats is also a title sponsor of the Muskie Anglers Circuit and will be displaying the full line of Tuffy Muskie boats at all the major Muskie shows in the Midwest during the Winter of 2010.
Tuffy Boats was the first boat builder to build a 'muskies only' fishing platform, the Esox LTD and Esox Magnum, and in 2005 totally redesigned the Esox Deep V and Osprey Walleye models from 17' to 20'6".
